Since my last post, there have been the usual ups and downs of life around here. I thought that at 16 weeks pregnant, things were improving on the hyperemesis front. Then they got worse again. Then a bit better, then worse. As of now, I'm 19 weeks and haven't vomited in a little over a week! The nausea still comes and goes but it's nothing compared to what it was, and I feel I can finally safely say that I'm over the worst of it.
{knock on wood and all that.}
Now, I have a home to tidy up and decorate for Advent, lessons to teach, meals to make, concerts to play, and all the usual December loveliness and chaos.
And in the meantime, I'm on a new mission to drink 101 ounces (three liters) of water a day since reading this article (thanks to Grace of Camp Patton fame). It can't hurt, right? Got a free water tracking app on my phone to keep track of it while I get the hang of upping my water intake.
Incidentally, pregnancy + lots of water = lots of trips to the bathroom, but you could probably guess that, couldn't you?
Nell is sweet as can be today in a red Baby Gap sweater I found at my favorite thrift store for $1. I asked her to smile for a picture (because what's a blog post without a picture?), and this is what I got:
Hang in there, Nell. Life is tough, cozy sweaters notwithstanding.
You and your family are so cute! I've missed your posts, but understandably you have a lot going on :) [Not that I've been much better on the blogging front and I don't even have kids yet!]
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better, and I'm sorry we missed seeing you last week... Although I am glad not to be pregnant anymore! Interesting article on water consumption, I wonder how much more I should add with nursing. Can't imagine drinking as little as she did though.
ReplyDeleteI love those fussy looking up pictures - in retrospect, at least. I have a few for each child. That would be a fun montage, wouldn't it...
